Hong Kong.

March, 1916.

-

Recently letters were exchanged between some of

the local firms of Architects - including our own

and yourself, upon the mibject of the interpretation

that had been placed upon some of the special

conditions attached to the fals of Crown Land in

this colony by the Director of Public Works; and

setting forth the views of the signatories concerning

the same.

You were so good - sccording to our understanding

of the correspondence - as to meet the wishes of the

signatories in all material points; the chief one of

which was that every restriction that the Government

proposed to impose with regard to the developement of

a building let § beyond what is required by the P. H.

à 3. Ordinance ); - and partionlarly such as involved

the question of height) should be clearly stated in

the conditions of sale; and not sprung upon the

purchaser afterwards.
